The importance of modeling tech adoption

TechSmith to award software grants

TechSmith HQThere are world-renowned software products being designed and programmed right here in Michigan, made by the TechSmith Corporation.  They are giving back to the Michigan community by donating $2 million worth of software to Michigan K-12 schools.

TechSmith  is based in Okemos, and builds tools such as Jing and Camtasia that aid in screen capturing, recording and file hosting. This type of software is almost essential for re-mix projects being assigned in multimedia classrooms.

To apply for one of these grants, visit http://www.techsmith.com/michigangrant/ There are four rounds of grant awards to go, with application deadlines in March, April, May and June. Grant applications can be written for a single software license, or for districtwide implementation.
